Watchdog newsletterTo Powell River Legacy group:I was informed that my name was on a list called "watchdog" (something like that name) The person informed me that this site is about being in favor of closing the mill here in Powell River. Do you know anything about this web page? I agree with limiting of the land fill but i do not want the mill to be closed. Can you tell me how i can find this web page?
Reply from the PR Legacy group:Hi Wendy,Yes there seems to be some confusion now about who is who, and who stands for what. There is a "Watchdog" newsletter being distributed around town apparently, and in the last issue, they did us (PR Legacy) a grave disservice by publishing a photo of our recent rally in efforts to halt the Wildwood landfill expansion, alongside the caption "CLOSE THE MILL!". This is not at all what we stand for, and we make that clear on our website. The idea that PR Legacy is attempting to shut down the mill with attendant job losses is simply false. I don't know if the Watchdog has their own website. »

Watchdog Newsletter
Hi:
I read the letter from Wendy and I am in the same situation. I did have a petition in my place of business which I do for anyone who asks. My name has been mentioned as supporting the mill closure in the newsletter. I have not actually seen this particular newsletter, but someone from the mill said that any business owners that had petitions or signed them is hanging on the notice board at the mill. I am NOT for the record in favour of the mill closing and hope that my business will not be in jeopardy because of this error.

Watchdog
Watchdog does not have a website. The newsletter is distributed by email.
The only way anyone receives a newsletter is if Watchdog received an email request that the newsletter be sent to that particular email address.
No one sees this list. It is hidden when a newsletter is received.
So I don't know how someone could tell you your name is on it.
You can have your email address removed by request.
