What can we do?Write Letters to the MoE and others - here's how...Your letters are IMPORTANT! They can be as simple as a statement that you oppose the vertical land fill in a residential area, or as detailed as you wish. Please do not assume that a few well written letters by a concerned minority will make a difference. What WILL make the difference is MANY letters from ALL of us. Catalyst and the Ministry of Environment need to know that a large percentage of the population are opposed to this measure, and the best way to achieve that is by a flood of letters! Besides the flawed and biased Catalyst-commissioned technical report, the main tool the Ministry of the Environment uses to decide this case is your letters. Your silence is presumed to be an approval of the industrial wastedump expansion! Please write letters to these listed recipients. Petition to the Auditor General of Canada18 June 2007

The local pulp and paper mill owned by various companies over the years and currently owned by Catalyst Paper sits at the forefront of this petition. In the early 1990’s, the company was owned by Macmillan Bloedel. Environmental Dispute Resolution Fund: Application For Support
